Attorney Profiles

Jill M. Campo is an Associate Attorney specializing in Corporate Law, Chapter 7 Bankruptcy and General Traffic matters. Jill coordinates much of the corporate formation and transactional work at Gatzke & Ruppelt, and has successfully litigated corporate issues against many of the largest law firms in the Milwaukee market. Attorney Campo also has experience with nearly every aspect of Family Law, and serves as support counsel to the Family Law lawyers at Gatzke & Ruppelt. Jill also serves as support counsel to the Criminal Law lawyers and has successfully represented clients on a number of OWI matters.

Jill has handled matters ranging from simple corporate formations to more complex cases involving disputes over contracts, collections and performance. She also has been involved in mediations, arbitrations and alternative dispute resolution matters surrounding contract issues. In addition, Jill manages corporate dissolutions and the statutory requirements surrounding issues of contract performance and corporate responsibility. She has established a team of experts who regularly assist her clients through the use of expert reports or testimony at hearings and at trial.

Along with her representation of numerous Milwaukee area contractors and small businesses, Jill has worked as pro bono counsel for the Milwaukee Iron, a 501(c)(3) organization of quadriplegic rugby players, and has volunteered her time with the New Berlin Teen Court, which offers first-time youth offenders an opportunity to have their cases heard by, and their punishment meted out by, other teens who volunteer to serve as jurors. Jill's service as Judge and advisor to the Teen Court has been critical to bringing about significant reduction in Teen criminal recidivism.

Jill comes to Gatzke & Ruppelt following a clerkship with the Honorable Mary Triggiano in the Milwaukee County Children's Court and as a legal intern for the Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee. Directly prior to Jill joining the Gatzke & Ruppelt, she performed contract work for Attorney Dan Fay at Oakton Avenue Law Offices.

Jill is a 2001 graduate of the University of Iowa in Iowa City where she spend eight semesters on the Dean's List while majoring in Finance. Subsequently, Jill moved to Milwaukee and received her law degree from Marquette University in 2005 and was a member of the Pro Bono Society.

Jill is currently a member of the Association for Women Lawyers and a member of the Milwaukee Bar Association. Jill resides in Milwaukee.
